Tips
for New & Returning International Students
|
|
|
|
The
fall semester is about to start. For international students, it
could be an exciting yet anxious moment, especially if you are
new to Purdue. Here are some tips to ease your transition at
Purdue and to start planning for your future career.
- Attend
different orientation programs that meet your needs to
have an overview of available campus resources. Most of
them are FREE!!!
- Visit ISS website to understand
visa regulations for international students’ job
opportunities in the U.S. Schedule an appointment with an
ISS counselor if you have questions.
- Check the CCO Homepage for
resources related to career development. Check the CCO Calendar for
information about workshops, career fairs and company
information sessions.
- Schedule an
appointment with CCO/ PPA on BoilerConnect to start
the conversation about your career planning.
- Visit a culture center on
campus to connect with peers.
- Consider
joining a student organization or club to stay engaged.
Check Boilerlink for
information of student organizations and events on campus.
REMEMBER,
most of these resources are FREE. These tips apply to both NEW
and RETURNING international students to help you make the best
use of your time at Purdue.
