A Construction Project Engineer at INDOT will be responsible for overseeing the construction of bridges, culverts, roadways, interstates, highway illumination, traffic signals, and other various construction projects that INDOT is responsible for. A project engineer will be responsible for leading a small team of inspectors who perform field testing, inspection, and applying standard specifications of construction procedures. Other important aspects of the job include being responsible for contract payments, change orders, field documentation, conducting progress meetings, and working with designers and other agency members to deliver quality projects and highway systems.
Locations for this position are available in the following counties: Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Knox, Lawrence, Martin, Orange, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Sullivan, Vanderburgh and Warrick.
