- Check out resources to refine your approach to learning – make sure you are working smarter rather than just harder. This may mean developing new strategies for studying and learning, working with others to strengthen your content knowledge, or building up your skills.
- Visit a Resource Room- Provided for a variety of subjects and courses (mostly 100/200 level). Click to explore each resource to learn more!

- Check out a workshop offered by the ASC. Workshops cover many different topics related to developing your study skills and learning strategies, including 2 late night study events.
- Connect with someone who can support you and your growth. Your network is an important part of your success- having others who can encourage you, challenge you, hold you accountable to your goals, answer questions, and cheer you on. Whether you talk with a friend, roommate, advisor, or instructor, reach out to someone this weekend to schedule a time to connect.
- Not sure who you could connect with? Consider these resources that students have found beneficial:
- Check-in with your academic advisor
- Join an Accountability Group
- Meet with a Peer Success Coach
- Look up your Faculty & TA office hours or introduce yourself after class
- Schedule a time to meet with a study skills consultant
- Try out some of the Steps to Leaps Learning modules that you can add to your Brightspace
- Remember that the semester is a marathon- not a sprint. Plan for some down time to recharge. Make sure you keep your entire wellness, growth, and success in mind – not just your academics. Even during busy weeks with lots tests and deadlines, make sure you include some stress management and self-care activities. The Wellness Suite has many great resources you can explore.
Are there certain resources you think would be helpful for you to use this semester? Have you utilized a different service that you think would be valuable to share in a later message? Is there any kind of specific support you are looking for? I’m happy to follow up and help you get connected with additional offices on-campus!
And remember to stay cool and hydrated this week with the high temps! 😊
Boiler Up!
